I am a Personal Trainer in the Perth area and specialize in helping people achieve their health and fitness goals and
generally feel good about themselves. I also specialize in helping people enjoy the wonderful benefits of running and improved performance from complete beginners to competitive runners. I am also a keen runner and I am also over the age of 40.
I only really started to take this running lark seriously in my late 20′s as a way of overcoming back pain with my first ‘proper’ race being the London Marathon. Since then I have ran 10 marathons, 6 in London, and quite a number of Half Marathons, 10k’s and fun runs judging by the medals which hang proudly on my wall.
I enjoy the challenge of trying to go faster as I get older, I firmly believe that everything is possible and the words “can’t”, “don’t” and “won’t” are no longer in my vocabulary. Life is fun when you open your mind up to new possibilities.
Being the wrong side of 40 isn’t the sign to slow down, it’s a great time to go and do whatever you like and prove that you’re not ‘past it’. I am much fitter now than I ever was in my 20′s and hopefully become fitter than I was in my 30′s.
The only obstacle in life is the one we create for ourselves. Having a dream is good but making it happen is the most satisfying thing in the world.
